Excellence in

                      Education

                                      Award

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.  In an effort to publicly recognize those teachers who continuously go the extra mile to change the world and improve our community by inspiring their students to reach their fullest potential and to instill in them a life-long love of learning, the Gig Harbor Kiwanis has established the “Excellence in Education” award.  This award is intended to be awarded to those teachers who exhibit the highest degree of excellence in their profession--those who continuously perform well beyond standard expectations on an ongoing basis year after year.

Eligibility

Any certificated teacher (or counselor) who has been employed by the Peninsula School District for at least three years.

Frequency

This award is sponsored solely by the Kiwanis Club of Peninsula-Gig Harbor.  Three awards will be given each school year; one in November, one in

February, and one in May.
